Terms of Service

The rules for using InkJaw, in plain language and good faith. Use the site and you're agreeing to these. If something's unclear, just ask.

Who we are

InkJaw Creative runs inkjaw.com: free story tools, prompt packs and workbooks, memberships, and author services. "We" and "us" mean InkJaw Creative; "you" means anyone using the site.

Your account

You sign in with Google or a one-tap email link, so there's no password to lose. Keep access to your own email, that's your key. Give us a real email and don't use someone else's. We can suspend or close an account that's being used to abuse the site or other people.

What you're buying

Prompt packs, workbooks, and other downloads are digital files for your own writing, personal or commercial. You can use, print, type in, and write from them all you like. You can't resell, share, redistribute, or repackage the files themselves, or pass them off as your own product. The stories you write with them are 100% yours.

Payments, downloads & refunds

Payments run through Stripe; we never see or store your card. Downloads are instant, so purchases are final, with one important exception: if a file is ever broken, mislabeled, or not what the page described, tell us and we'll fix it or refund it, no hoops. We'd rather you be happy than hold your money.

Memberships

Memberships bill monthly or yearly through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account; your perks stay active through the period you've already paid for, and you won't be billed again after that. We don't pro-rate partial months. If we ever change a plan's price, we'll tell you before it hits you.

Author services

For custom work (voice, branding, marketing, and the rest), the specifics, price, and turnaround live in the quote we send you. You approve, we build, you review, and we tighten anything that doesn't sound like you before it's done. Your voice stays intact; nothing precious gets overwritten without your say-so.

The free tools

The Story Wizards, quizzes, and instant reports are here to help and to be fun, offered as-is. They generate ideas and drafts, not guarantees, and the results are yours to keep or ignore. Please don't hammer, scrape, or automate them; they're for humans making things, not bots.

Your content

Anything you paste into a tool or send us stays yours. We use it only to give you your result or to answer you, per the Privacy Policy. If you send feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you're giving us permission to use them to improve InkJaw, no strings.

Fair use of the site

Use InkJaw for its intended purpose. Don't break, overload, or try to hack the site, don't scrape or bulk-download our content, don't resell what's meant for you, and don't post anything illegal or harmful through our forms. Simple stuff.

What's ours

The InkJaw name, the dragons, the writing, the artwork, and the site itself are ours (or licensed to us). Buying a pack or using a tool doesn't hand over our brand or let you copy the site. The output you create is a different story, that part's yours.

Others who help run things

A few trusted providers make InkJaw work, Stripe for payments, Google for sign-in, and an email provider for delivery. When you use those, their terms apply too. We only hand each the little it needs to do its job.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep InkJaw accurate, useful, and online, but it's provided "as-is." We can't promise it'll be perfect, uninterrupted, or right for every purpose, and we're not liable for indirect or incidental losses from using it. Where the law limits how far that can go, our responsibility is limited to what you paid us.

When these change

If we update these terms, this page changes first and the date above moves with it. Keep using the site after a change and that's your agreement to the new version. Anything meaningful, we'll flag it, not bury it.

Questions, disputes, or "wait, what does this mean"? Send us a message. A real person reads every one, and we'd always rather sort something out with you directly than point at a clause.
